OSHA Construction Safety and Health

OSHA 10 - hr classes must now be conducted in no less than a two (2) day format.

OSHA 30 - hr classes must now be conducted in no less than a four (4) day format.

Outreach Training Program Guidelines require that in all circumstances, training must be completed within six (6) months of the initial training date or the individual will be required to repeat/start over with their OSHA training.

Only one card replacement is allowed.

There is a $25 replacement fee and can only be replaced as long as the training was completed within 5 years of the original start date.

SPECIAL NOTICE ENVIRONMENTAL REFRESHER CLASSES

8-hour refresher classes for Asbestos Abatement, Hazardous Waste, Lead Abatement, RAD-II and Lead Renovator Refresher (English) are held at the LABORERS & CONTRACTORS Training Center (High Hill, MO).  Not all classes are held every month, check the schedule.  Classes are held on Saturday's and start at 7:45 a.m. and finish by 4:30 p.m.

In order to keep your eligibility for employment on environmental abatement work current you must complete a refresher course within 12 months of completing the original course, or your last refresher class.  In addition, to keep your Missouri State Licenses current, note the following:

• ASBESTOS:  The Missouri Department of Natural Resources requests you complete the Asbestos Abatement Refresher, and submit your license renewal application, at least 30 days before your State License expires.

• LEAD:  The Missouri Department of Health requests you complete the Lead Abatement Refresher, and submit your license renewal application, at least 60 days before your State License expires.

Also, in order to keep your eligibility for employment on Lead Renovator, Repair and Painting projects in Missouri, you must complete a refresher course within 5 years of completing the original course, or your last refresher class. 

KEEP IN MIND:  If you do not complete a refresher class within the required time limits, you are no longer eligible for the refresher class, and you cannot retake the initial worker class  through the LABORERS & CONTRACTORS Training Center.

Enrollment in these refresher classes is limited.  You must complete the special application form (no telephone registrations accepted) and submit it to your local union office at least ten (10) days prior to the class start date.  (Persons submitting applications after that time may have to be scheduled into the next available class.)  All information requested on the form must be furnished – the form must be dated and signed by you.
